Expertise
Nuclear measurement engineering support
We take care of
- Analysis of results from your nuclear measurements to determine the activities and uncertainties of radionuclides of interest
- Studies relating to the characterisation of objects or environments: creation of standard spectra, modelling of measuring stations, measurement methodology, etc.
Outsource your measurement analyses and measurement project stages to Radeo.
Radeo provides subcontracting services for all technical stages of your nuclear measurement engineering projects.
Software expertise
Our analyses and studies are carried out using these different software programmes, depending on requirements. Other software programmes may be considered depending on requirements and complexity:
- MCNP : gamma, neutron (total counting, PNCC)
- ISOCS / Genie2000 / IUE
- Pascalys / Mercurad
Detector expertise
Radeo apporte pour vos analyses et études son expertise sur les différentes technologies de détection suivantes :
- Inorganic scintillators: NaI & NaI(Li), LaBr & LaBr(codoped), CsI, BGO, CLLB.
- Semiconductors: hyper-pure germanium detectors, CZT
- Organic scintillators.
- Neutron detection: CPNB, He3, Li-doped crystals.
AI-assisted MCNP modelling
The integration of artificial intelligence tools into our engineering processes enables us to offer you more comprehensive and robust MCNP studies with shorter turnaround times.
- Characterisation of gamma spectrometry detectors.
- Uncertainty studies.
- Sensitivity studies.
- Design of experiments.
Nuclear measurement studies
Radeo carries out comprehensive nuclear measurement studies, from the design of detection chains to experimental validation. Our engineers determine the optimal detection configurations (detector type, collimation, electronics, software, etc.) based on the sources, geometries and activity levels. The studies include determining the absolute detection efficiency and analysing overall uncertainties. This service guarantees measurement systems that are adapted to metrological requirements.
